The new Bulgarian Minister of Justice was announced by the future Prime Minister of Bulgaria

The future Prime-Minister of Bulgaria Mr Boiko Borisov announced in advance the name of the new Bulgarian Minister of Justice - Mrs Margarita Popova. She is a public prosecutor since 1990. She was head of the Sofia district Prosecutor`s Office for 9 years till 2004. Mrs Popova became a permanent lecturer at the National Institute of Justice where she teaches junior prosecutors. In 2006 by the order of the Bulgarian Prosecutor General Mr Boris Velchev she was chosen to perform the duties of a spokesman for the prosecutor general. Mrs Margarita Popova heads the unit at the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor`s Office which investigates financial fraud with funds from the European Union.
From the new Bulgarian Minister of Justice is expected to help the judiciary in the fight with corruption and organized crime.
