The Bulgarian Parliament voted amendments in the State Officials Act

The amendments stipulate that at least one hundred of the state posts in the state administration must be held by disabled people. The proposed bill was discussed and passed on first readings.
It is foreseen that the superior body shall announce a vacancy for these positions at least once in every four months until they are occupied. If non execution of these obligations occurs the perpetrators shall be fined between 2 000 and 5 000 BGN as these amounts shall be transferred to the Bulgarian Agency for Disabled for financing programs for employment and education.
According to the passed amendments the amount of paid annual leave for employees with 50% or over 50% disability should be at least 26 working days.
