Bulgaria amongst top 3 countries for adopted EU legislation

The Bulgarian Parliament's chairman Mr Georgi Pirinski announced at the 3rd Annual conference of diplomatic agencies abroad that Bulgaria is in top 3 countries for assimilation of EU legislation. Bulgaria's place in this chart is a true proof for the hard work and efforts put of different commissions and expert councils at the National assembly. The chairman pointed out that even at the moment of joining to the EU the harmonization of European legislation with Bulgarian one was pretty much reached. In relation to the assimilation of EU funds Mr Pirinski explained that the situation in Bulgaria was not so different than any other country new member of the EU. He emphasized on the approved preposition of the European Matters commission for assigning two audits to the Bulgarian National Audit Office by the end of the year. The first audit is for the management systems for the EU Structural and Cohesion Funds, and the second one shall be for systems for application of the National Strategic plan for development of the rural regions, fishery and aquacultures.
